Graph 5
With 50,000 years of perspective it's obvious how fortunate we are to live in the Holocene. It's arguable
whether human civilization would have developed if temperatures were down where they were prior to 10,000
years ago. The idea that the decline of the last 3,000 years might continue, giving us temperatures more
consistent with the last 50,000 years, is frightening. Global warming? Yes, please! (Final graph.)
